Biography
Gavin Landgraf joined Cooper & Kirk in 2025. Prior to joining the firm, he served as a law clerk to Judge Richard J. Sullivan of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and Judge Neomi Rao of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit. He practiced as an associate at Skadden Arps before his first clerkship and is a member of the New York bar.
Mr. Landgraf earned his J.D. from Yale Law School, where he received the William T. Ketcham, Jr. Prize for the best paper in conflict of laws. Before and during law school, he served in the United States Marine Corps Reserve as a Scout Sniper Platoon Commander, reaching the rank of Captain. He holds a B.A. in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics (PPE) from Claremont McKenna College, where he was Student Body President, a Seaver Scholar, and the recipient of the Berger Prize for Outstanding Senior Man.
