John Tienken

John W. Tienken joined Cooper & Kirk in 2020. Prior to joining the firm, he clerked for Judge Andrew S. Oldham of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and Judge Amul R. Thapar of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.

Mr. Tienken received his J.D. with high honors, Order of the Coif, and a certificate in business leadership from the University of Chicago Law School. In law school, he served as Managing Online Editor of the University of Chicago Law Review. He earned his B.A., summa cum laude, in English and Political Science from the University of Illinois Springfield, where he served as a Student Member of the Board of Trustees.

Mr. Tienken a member of the Bars of Illinois and the District of Columbia.
